I'm having the same issue. Way too much bass after Windows 10 upgrade. Checked Realtek drivers and they were up to date. Still had bass issue. Deleted Realtek driver and reinstalled. Still having same issue. No SRS WOW effects are on in Windows Media Player. Please advise.

I've checked the updates, but I don't know which update (KB) you want me to write down.
There are so many updates with KB. Is there a specific update for Realtek? Or an Audio-update?
I can send you al list of all the updates if you would like that.
I have an Asus N53SV and it's recently updated to Windows 10.
Thanks for helping me.

I had the same problem. The driver works correct, but the standard setting boost the bass. So here is what I did:
1) click the Loudspeaker symbol at the lower right corner next to the date & time
2) choose 'reproducing device'. (I hope this is correct, because I have the German version so I can't see the English expression.)
3) A Window called 'Sound' opens and you see all reproduction units. Right-click the loudspeaker with the realtek audio driver.Choose 'properties' (the lowest option which is written fat)
4) choose the sub-menu 'improvements' (the third one)
5) choose the option 'deactivate all soundeffects'
Amplitube Too Much Bass Chords
Try it, it's very simple but it solved the problem. It's a shame what Realtek offers. A pity for the great audio engineers..

For what you pay to just get the app you definitely don’t get much! I know pedals aren’t cheap but if you really want people to use your app have some decent stomps and amps to work with you go bankrupt trying to find what sounds right
A fantastic app and hardware combo
This is a muso's dream. Unbelievable value, and amazingly simple and fun to use! I just love it and cannot speak highly enough of what IK Multimedia have produced. The demos are great for refining your sounds - pick one of the 7 or 8 looped demos and then fiddle with all the different stomp box and speaker/mic combos to create really useable sounds that are equally great for jamming, playing live and even recording - yes, I believe it is that good.
Initially I was a little bit disappointed when I heard the presents - some of the distortion sounds seemed a bit tinny, but once I got the hang of using it (especially with the demo loop mode), it exceeded my expectations. I honestly can't fault it. I'm using it with an 09 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Ebony) and it rocks hard. Creating custom tones and saving them as presets is just so simple. No need for manuals and the like - just what most blokes love. I can't wait to see what they do with it over time - an iPad specific version would be great. The ability to purchase more effects down the track as they are developed is also a bonus. When you think of how much all these effects would cost as standalone units it is chicken feed. Don't hesitate - you won't regret it. And it is just another one of the brilliant things that you can now do on the iPhone. Stupendous. Great app, does what it is supposed to.
If you travel and play guitar you need this app. I am primarily a metal drummer who plays guitar to write song ideas. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I can now practise easily with headphones or through a stereo and record any ideas without having to use my full recording setup.
For getting ideas down quickly that sound good and practising in a completely portable way this app is the way to go. Sure the sounds aren't 100% perfect but you're running a variety of amps and stompboxes ON A PHONE for the price of a round of beers! Not to mention being able to play over the top of songs and multi track record. With a decent guitar (I'm using a Gibson SG) and leads and using the Noise Filter stompbox, I am getting a very clean sound, even when using the Overdrive and Distortion stompboxes together. I have tried other apps with the iRig and they were either noisy with a lot of feedback through headphones or just didn't work. The iRig also works as a simple guitar input for my MacBook Pro which is a bonus. The only thing I would say is that the app needs to be updated for the iPhone retina display as a lot of the layout is pixelated. Information
